Alabama Power Grid Defense Conference
The purpose of Power Grid Defense Committee (PGDC) Alabama is to initiate activities to secure the Alabama power grid from natural and man-made threats. It is important to recognize the severity of consequences if municipal power grids are ever under attack or fail on a large scale. What will be the recovery plan? How will we accomodate power needs/demands in the interim? What alerts are in place to warn of a power grid threat? While there, our Chief Technology Officer, David Ewing hosted a speaking session where he executed the real-time build of an Internet of Things (IoT) application. Bill joined us in our booth and provided greater insight on how Synapse's software and hardware can be used to address many of the challenges and opportunities that exist within the industrial arena.
Attendees of this year's LiveWorx 2016 event witnessed the power of the IoT as Synapse Wireless, Deloitte Digital, and Thingworx collaborated to demonstrate an IoT predictave maintenance solution. The wholistic approach and integration of each organization's expertise yielded a comprehensive application that displayed how the strategic deployment of diverse IoT elements can reduce waste and result in greater revenue for manufacturers.

LFI is known for blending continuing education courses with innovative, lighting product demonstrations. Synapse featured several wireless, lighting controls solutions for office buildings, parking garages, street lights, parking lots and more. Booth visitors interacted with the SimplySNAP user interface and viewed true on/off functionality, energy consumption data, automated scheduling and more, all in real time.

National Facilities Management & Technology
Synapse Wireless was present at the 15th annual National Facilities Management and Technology Conference, hosted by Building Operating Management and Facilities Maintenance Decisions Magazines. Those present at the show were able to take advantage of the free educational opportunities, industry networking events and product discovery sessions. Facilities managers from several industries such as government, healthcare, educational, municipal, retail and hospitality were in attendance to stay ahead of the curve on the latest and greatest developments and innovations within the field.

NRA (National Restaurant Association)
